Description
Airfix 06001 – Short Sunderland III 1:7
Discover the Airfix 06001 Short Sunderland III, a classic 1:72 scale plastic model kit depicting one of the most recognisable British flying boats of the Second World War. This historic aircraft served with RAF Coastal Command, performing long-range maritime patrols, reconnaissance missions and anti-submarine operations over the Atlantic.
The Short Sunderland entered service in 1938 and became an important aircraft during the Battle of the Atlantic. Its long endurance and defensive armament made it well suited to protecting Allied shipping and searching for German submarines. The Sunderland continued to serve after the war, including during the Berlin Airlift and the Korean War.
This Airfix kit offers aviation enthusiasts and experienced model builders the opportunity to recreate the distinctive four-engine flying boat in miniature. The 1:72 scale makes it an impressive addition to a collection of historical aircraft models.
Condition and contents: The kit has been thoroughly inspected, and all parts are present. This gives the buyer added confidence when purchasing this classic model kit. Please note that glue, paints and modelling tools are not included unless specifically stated.
